Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using MyAniList. By downloading, accessing, or using MyAniList, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use MyAniList.

MyAniList

MyAniList is an iOS and iPadOS application for discovering, tracking, and managing anime and manga information through AniList.co. MyAniList is provided by Corey Roberts and is not owned, operated, endorsed, or controlled by AniList.co.

For the purposes of these terms:

  • MyAniList, the app, or the service means the MyAniList application, website, and related support services.
  • Developer, we, us, or our means Corey Roberts, the developer and operator of MyAniList.
  • You means the person who downloads, accesses, or uses MyAniList.
  • AniList means AniList.co and its related services.
  • App Store means Apple’s App Store and related Apple services.
  • Tokubetsu means the legacy one-time in-app purchase offered by MyAniList before Tokubetsu+.
  • Tokubetsu+ means the current paid MyAniList feature set, including subscription and lifetime purchase options where available.

App Store Terms

MyAniList is distributed through the App Store. Your download, installation, purchase, subscription, refund request, and use of MyAniList may also be governed by Apple’s applicable terms, including Apple’s App Store terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

These terms supplement Apple’s applicable terms where permitted. If these terms conflict with Apple’s required App Store terms, Apple’s terms control only to the extent required by Apple or applicable law. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for MyAniList except as required by applicable law.

AniList Account and Content

MyAniList connects to AniList so you can view content, sign in to your AniList account, synchronize lists, and perform actions that you request through the app. MyAniList does not own AniList, manage AniList accounts, control AniList login, operate AniList’s API, or control the anime, manga, staff, character, airing, ranking, metadata, or community content provided by AniList.

Your use of AniList through MyAniList is subject to AniList’s own terms, privacy policy, account rules, API behavior, content policies, and service availability. If AniList changes, limits, suspends, removes, or breaks any feature, content, account, API, or login flow, MyAniList may be affected.

You are responsible for the actions you take through MyAniList, including list updates, status changes, scores, notes, favorites, follows, privacy settings, and other changes sent to AniList.

No Streaming or Reading Service

MyAniList is a tracking and discovery app. It does not provide a library of anime episodes, manga chapters, streaming media, downloads, scanlations, or other copyrighted entertainment content. If the app displays links to third-party streaming, reading, or external content services, those services are provided by third parties and are governed by their own terms.

Eligibility

You may use MyAniList only if you are legally allowed to do so in your country or region. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use MyAniList only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Some content shown through AniList or other third-party services may be age-restricted, mature, explicit, or unavailable depending on your AniList settings, Apple requirements, local law, region, or third-party service rules.

Free Features and Paid Features

The core MyAniList experience is available without a purchase. MyAniList may also offer optional paid features, including Tokubetsu, Tokubetsu+, subscriptions, lifetime purchases, promotional offers, discounts, trials, or other in-app purchases.

Paid features are intended to enhance MyAniList. They do not make MyAniList the owner or operator of AniList, and they do not guarantee that AniList, third-party services, App Store services, or specific external content will remain available.

Tokubetsu and Tokubetsu+

Tokubetsu was a legacy one-time purchase. If you purchased Tokubetsu before Tokubetsu+ launched, MyAniList intends to continue honoring access to the legacy Tokubetsu feature set where technically and legally possible.

Tokubetsu+ is the current paid feature set. Tokubetsu+ may be offered as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, lifetime purchase, discounted offer, promotional offer, or another App Store-supported purchase type. Available purchase types, pricing, features, eligibility, and renewal terms may vary by app version, region, App Store account, promotion, or other conditions.

MyAniList may add, remove, replace, rename, redesign, or change paid features over time. A purchase unlocks the paid features made available for that purchase type; it does not guarantee that every current or future paid feature will remain unchanged or be available on every device, operating system version, region, or App Store account. If a feature depends on Apple, AniList, RevenueCat, iOS, iPadOS, widgets, notifications, background refresh, or another third-party service or operating system capability, that feature may stop working or change if the underlying service or platform changes.

Purchases, Billing, Renewals, and Cancellation

All MyAniList in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. MyAniList does not directly collect or store your credit card number, debit card number, App Store billing credentials, or full payment method details.

If you buy a subscription, Apple will charge your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase according to the price and subscription period shown at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel them through your Apple Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, or within any other cancellation deadline required by Apple. Apple may charge your Apple Account for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS or iPadOS Settings under your Apple Account subscriptions, or through Apple’s subscription management tools. Deleting MyAniList from your device does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

If you switch subscription plans, redeem a promotion, use a trial, restore purchases, or buy a lifetime option, Apple and RevenueCat may determine how the entitlement is applied, when access changes, and whether any prorating, billing adjustment, trial conversion, or eligibility rule applies.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. MyAniList cannot directly issue App Store refunds, reverse App Store charges, cancel App Store billing on your behalf, or guarantee that Apple will approve a refund request.

If you believe you were charged by mistake or want to request a refund, use Apple’s refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple’s current refund support page.

Purchase Management

MyAniList uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status, subscription status, purchase restoration, entitlements, and purchase-related metadata. RevenueCat does not replace Apple’s role as the payment processor for App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps MyAniList determine which paid features your App Store purchase unlocks.

Purchase availability, restoration, entitlement status, and subscription state may depend on Apple, RevenueCat, your Apple Account, network availability, app version, device state, and other technical conditions.

Privacy

Your use of MyAniList is also governed by the MyAniList Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes how MyAniList handles account identifiers, analytics, crash reporting, purchase management, third-party services, and related information.

MyAniList currently uses third-party services including AniList, Apple, RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, and Sentry. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse MyAniList. This includes:

  • Using MyAniList for unlawful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
  • Attempting to disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with MyAniList, AniList, Apple, RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, Sentry, or other related services.
  • Circumventing purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, technical protections, rate limits, access controls, or content restrictions.
  • Using MyAniList to infringe someone else’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Submitting false, misleading, malicious, or abusive feedback, support requests, reports, or content.
  • Using MyAniList in violation of export control laws, sanctions, platform rules, or other applicable legal restrictions.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to MyAniList features where we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, where required by law or platform policy, or where needed to protect the app, users, third-party services, or the developer.

Feedback and Suggestions

If you send feedback, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or suggestions about MyAniList, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation. You are not required to send feedback, and you should not send anything you consider confidential.

Intellectual Property

MyAniList, including its original app design, branding, features, website, text, graphics, icons, and related materials, is owned by the developer or licensed to the developer, except for content, trademarks, data, or services owned by third parties.

AniList, Apple, RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck, Sentry, and other third-party names, trademarks, content, and services belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of MyAniList or any third-party service or content.

MyAniList may display, link to, depend on, or interact with third-party websites, APIs, platforms, and services. We do not control those third-party services and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security, policies, actions, or failures.

You use third-party services at your own risk and should review their terms and privacy policies.

App Availability and Changes

MyAniList is provided as an evolving app. We may update, modify, suspend, remove, discontinue, or limit any feature at any time. We may also release updates that require a newer version of iOS, iPadOS, or MyAniList.

We do not guarantee that MyAniList will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, compatible with every app version, or compatible with every third-party service.

You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, Apple Account, AniList account, network connection, and app version reasonably current and secure. Some features may require permissions, notifications, background refresh, widgets, internet access, an AniList account, or other device or platform capabilities.

Disclaimer

MyAniList is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

MyAniList may display information from AniList or other third-party services. We do not guarantee that this information is complete, accurate, current, available, or suitable for your intended use.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, loss of access, service interruption, purchase issues, account issues, third-party service changes, or content inaccuracies arising from or related to your use of MyAniList.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to MyAniList will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for MyAniList purchases in the twelve months before the claim or 50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or personal injury where applicable law does not allow that limitation.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

If you live outside the United States, you may have additional rights under the laws of your country or region. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, the app, App Store release notes, or another reasonable method.

Your continued use of MyAniList after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, stop using MyAniList.
